Back, "home"

Reed was born in South Asia.

Rebekah remembers no other "home" than our sleepy little town here.
And she asked, in the USA, when we would be going back "home".

Our time in the USA, visiting so many family, old friends, and new friends
Was rewarding beyond words.

Knowing so many were praying for us through our Journey,

And so many want to be involved in some way with us, puts us in awe.

But we packed our van full,

Got our mullets cut off
(and were none to happy about losing such a classic hairstyle),

In preparation for the ride to the international terminal.

So for now, we are in this home.

"Home" may shift in the next month, or year, or in five years.

But for now, here we are.

Slowing Down

With nearly 20,000 miles on our leased van in 5 months,

Visiting Friends, Sharing About our lives and work in South Asia, and Going to Meetings,

We knew we had to slow down.

And now we only have a couple weeks left in the USA.

So we travelled down to South Texas to finally encounter some cold weather,

Climbed a few trees,

Ate some Louisiana specialties (beignets with their accompanying powdered sugar),

Enjoyed the sites around our city,

And visited old family (our dog Kosi, with her new family).

We have--as all wise parents would--tried to get our 20-month-old son addicted to television.

Because as anxious as you are to climb in the suitcase and get back to South Asia, Reed,

We have a 14+ hour plane flight (with no stops) ahead of us.
