10,000 Miles and Running (Part 2)

We've been spending our time...

Sitting in an old firetruck at a Fall Festival in Oklahoma
(which was leaking gas),

Watching James preach with Grandma in Stillwater,

Climbing trees,

Hanging with Granny and explaining what life is like in India,

Coming face-to-face with the local wildlife in Alabama
(authentic overalls required),

Celebrating Kristie's 40th birthday
(not quite 40 YET ;-)),

And riding the Komodo Dragon at the zoo in Jacksonville, Florida.

Be patient. We'll get back to you.

10,000 Miles and Running (Part 1)

Sorry if we haven't emailed you back. Or returned your text. We have been a little busy.

But it has been a fun busy, though. Seeing family and friends, and letting the kids do what every American kid should do. We're just trying to pack 4 years into 7 months.

Measuring ourself against Lottie Moon's life-size picture in Virginia
(she was a small lady),

Driving into a hurricane rain to visit friends in North Carolina,

Catching fish with Pawpaw in Mississippi,

Riding Grandpa's 4-wheeler in Oklahoma,

Visiting some cute twins (and their dog) in Edmond...

And much, much more

(to be continued)

Fall is For Football

Since most of our football for the last 5 years has been Fantasy Football or streaming NFL games on poor internet connections, we are taking advantage of being here.

Rebekah's first football game back when she was 1 was sunny and warm.

Reed's was a little colder (a lot colder), but we had a good time.

Then we had the Halloween game, where Rebekah got to march with the cheerleaders before the game,

Go on the field to greet the football players in the rain,

And almost get caught in a tornado on the way home from the game.

Then of course Kristie and James got to enjoy a Saints game (and win!).

While more expensive and so much more 'professional' feeling than college games,
it helped us complete our football gorging while we're in the USA this fall.

Who knows when our next game will be, but we're always willing to take free tickets!

Best Zoo of All?

We have travelled a lot of different places,

And our default "What to do?" is ALWAYS a zoo.

We think we found the best zoo of all, though, and it is in Oklahoma City!

Not only is it affordable and well-maintained,

But the variety of animals is great

And the Gorilla exhibit is probably nicer than any exhibit we've seen at any zoo anywhere in the world.
