The Atlantic Ocean

Rebekah has spent time on the beaches since she was 2 months old, and she was always tentative about the big ocean waves a little bit (here and here), but we decided on a trip to Jacksonville, FL, to let Rebekah walk in the Atlantic Ocean.

She was very tentative at first (noticed the clenched toes), but that may have been due to her dislike of anything dirty.

She eventually warmed up to the sand between her toes and the crashing waves, though.

She even willingly stepped into the ocean, although not too far.

At the end of our time there, she was picking up sea shells and letting the wet sand envelope her feet.

Things To Do in Oklahoma in the Fall, pt. 2

James went to college in Tahlequah, on the Illinois River in Oklahoma. One morning we drove around his school and decided to hike through the hills to some cliffs overlooking the river on a cold, windy morning.

Rebekah didn't mind the cold, or notice the treacherous path we walked to the cliffs.

The best part of our trip to Oklahoma was getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Roberts.

Rebekah's imagination is just wild, as we find her doing things we didn't teach her, and we have no clue where she learned some of the things.

We know she likes to dress up, and sometimes she just gets bored some time and puts on whatever piece of clothing she sees, from her pink tutu to some grown-up boots.

Things To Do in Oklahoma in the Fall

We made the long car-journey to Oklahoma a few weeks ago, and were excited about getting to spend a brief time with James' family. The ever-curious Rebekah was ready to experience what Oklahoma is about in late Fall, when the cold November wind starts blowing.

FIND A DEER: We didn't shoot ours, though-this fawn is found in the Lake Eufaula Nature Center

Ride a 4-wheeler

Put on your cowboy boots and stomp through piles of leaves

Search for Cows, which is much easier in OK than in most places

Saints Nation

We've lived outside of New Orleans as a married couple longer than we lived in New Orleans, but we're not very far away from the city and the New Orleans Saints are as much South Mississippi's team as they are Louisiana's.

As much as Rebekah would have loved the crazies who get excited about the Saints, we left her for the weekend and enjoyed walking around the city, visiting friends, and just taking in the excitement that surrounds the defending Super Bowl Champion Saints

We dressed appropriately, got our tickets, and went to support the team.

We tried to choose a game we were sure the Saints would win, but unfortunately, the Cleveland Browns had different plans that Sunday afternoon.
