(End of) Summer Fun '09!!! (Part 2)

Of course at the beach we had to take the obligatory scenic pics one evening. Rebekah was just as happy to be at the beach as she is everywhere else!

(practicing her karate)

The condos weren't too crowded AFTER Labor Day when we visited, so the birds were some of our only company (which was fine with us).

(End of) Summer Fun '09

After Labor Day Weekend, we took our first family trip to the beach on the Florida-Alabama Gulf Coast. The condo was great, the sand was warm, and the surf was very attractive to our little water-baby.

WE SWAM A LITTLE BIT

PLAYED IN THE SAND (and ate quite a bit of it)

OUR FIRST TIME SITTING UNSUPPORTED!

WE ALL TOOK A LITTLE TIME TO SIT BACK AND READ A LITTLE BIT

PART TWO OF (END OF) SUMMER FUN '09 COMING SOON!

Rebekah and the Bear (10/10/09)

7 Months

With the summer over, Rebekah has been getting ready for her first Fall! We're not sure how tall she is or how long she is, but she sure is healthy and active! Not only is she now an "unsupported sitter," but she also has two TEETH, and she loves to use them on her baby food.

In honor of the season, we've included a pumpkin and (one of) her cute costumes.

Eating

About a month ago, Rebekah switched from eating tasteless rice cereal to trying other foods. All she'd tried other than milk and this cereal was the occasional taste of chocolate ice cream from her mother. We're not sure if the consistency or the taste of the other food caused Rebekah's reactions, but we couldn't stop laughing each night at her pitiful faces and gag-like shuddering.

Rebekah loved her cereal each night

and she thought she'd love this new, orange cereal

but she soon realized she'd been tricked!

She just wanted it to stop!

The green beans weren't any better

nor was the squash.

Don't be distressed at the above images. She learned to like all of the above, and even ate up green peas (something her dad can barely do) without any fighting; and of course she liked the fruits and sweet potatoes.
